At Paris Photo 2025, Olga Sokal presents selections from The Pink Motel with Kominek Gallery, while also revealing a more personal side of her practice where drawing and photography converge.

Presented at Paris Photo 2025 with Kominek Gallery, The Pink Motel brings together photography and sketchbook drawings from Olga Sokal’s personal practice, offering insight into a process shaped by film, fine art, and storytelling.

Olga Sokal is a Polish-born visual artist who divides her time between London, New York, and Los Angeles. After completing her studies at CalArts in 2017, she developed a practice that moves fluidly between film and fine art, shaped by her experience across both disciplines.

At Paris Photo 2025, presented with Kominek Gallery at Booth C49, Sokal shows 60×70 cm archival prints from The Pink Motel, alongside a limited-edition sketchbook from the project. The presentation features both photographs and drawings, opening a window into a more personal and process-driven side of her work.

Sokal has spent years working behind the scenes as a visual architect for leading filmmakers, trained by master production designers in color and paint. For this exhibition, she shares material drawn directly from her sketchbooks, revealing where drawing and photography meet outside of a commercial framework.

The images shown come from a previous collaboration between Olga Sokal and Bodeyco and are part of The Pink Motel series presented at Paris Photo.
